Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Welcome to Milly’s Café.
This community was created for people who want to learn, connect, grow, become more capable, and become better at treating other people with dignity.
We believe that education does not end when school ends. We believe that emotional maturity can be learned, character can be developed, friendships can be built, and that becoming a wiser and more compassionate person is a lifelong process.
These Terms of Service establish the rules that allow that kind of community to exist.
By creating an account, accessing member areas, participating in a Group, posting content, communicating with other members, or otherwise using Milly’s Café, you agree to these Terms and to the Community Covenant contained within them.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the community.
Milly’s Café is a community for learning, conversation, friendship, personal development, intellectual growth, emotional maturity, courtesy, character, and responsible participation in the world around us.
We want this to be a place where people can:
This is not a community built around popularity, follower counts, status, or performance.
We care more about who you are becoming than how impressive you appear to other people.
Milly’s Café is designed primarily for young adults ages 18–33.
Adults older than 33 are welcome and may participate provided they respect the purpose, culture, and Terms of Service of the community.
You must provide truthful information when creating and maintaining your account.
You may not deliberately misrepresent your age, identity, or circumstances in order to obtain access to the community or another member’s trust.
Milly’s Café is not presented as a children’s community, and the community does not currently operate a specialized government-ID, biometric, or comparable age-verification system. Any age declaration or eligibility statement associated with registration should therefore be understood as a condition of participation and an expectation of truthful conduct, not as a guarantee that every person’s age has been independently verified.
If we learn that an account does not meet the community’s eligibility requirements, we may restrict or terminate that account.
Milly’s Café exists because we believe people deserve places where they can learn without being humiliated, communicate without being threatened, and participate without being treated as targets.
We judge conduct, not a person’s worth.
People come from different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, educational experiences, occupations, economic circumstances, and stages of life. You do not have to agree with another member in order to treat that person with dignity.
You are expected to:
We believe strongly in freedom of thought and honest discussion.
But freedom of expression does not give anyone a right to use Milly’s Café to abuse another person.
Milly’s Café is intended to be a safe-learning community.
The following conduct is prohibited:
A person does not have to remain in a conversation simply because another member wants to continue it.
“No” means no.
“Stop” means stop.
Silence is not consent.
Repeatedly contacting someone after they have made it clear that they do not wish to communicate may be treated as harassment.
Private messaging exists to allow legitimate communication between members.
Private does not mean exempt from the Terms of Service.
Members must not use private messages to:
Members should exercise particular caution when communicating with people they have met online.
Do not provide strangers with sensitive information such as your home address, precise location, financial information, passwords, security information, or other information that could place you at risk.
Milly’s Café cannot guarantee the behavior of another member once communication leaves the platform.
If a conversation becomes uncomfortable, threatening, manipulative, or unsafe, stop communicating and report the concern to the administrators.
Your privacy and the privacy of other members matter.
You may not use information obtained through Milly’s Café to stalk, harass, threaten, expose, embarrass, or target another person.
Do not publish another member’s:
without appropriate permission.
Screenshots, recordings, or other material taken from private community interactions must not be redistributed outside the community in a manner that violates another person’s privacy or these Terms.
The fact that something can technically be copied does not mean that copying and distributing it is appropriate.
Protect people’s privacy because it is the right thing to do—not merely because the rules say so.
Content posted to Milly’s Café should be:
Do not post:
Members are encouraged to question ideas.
Questioning an idea is not the same thing as attacking a person.
We want people to ask:
What evidence supports this?
What might I be missing?
Is there another credible perspective?
Could I be wrong?
Intellectual humility is a strength, not a weakness.
Milly’s Café is not intended to eliminate disagreement.
Quite the opposite.
Learning how to disagree intelligently and respectfully is part of becoming an emotionally mature adult.
You may challenge an argument.
You may question someone’s evidence.
You may respectfully express an opposing opinion.
You may change your mind.
You may tell someone that you believe they are mistaken.
What you may not do is turn disagreement into humiliation, intimidation, harassment, or personal abuse.
Challenge ideas. Do not destroy people.
Milly’s Café contains different Groups and community areas with different purposes.
Members are expected to respect the purpose of the Group they are participating in.
Moderators may move, remove, close, or redirect posts that do not belong in a particular area.
Repeatedly disrupting Groups, deliberately derailing discussions, or ignoring moderator instructions may result in restrictions or loss of membership.
A community works best when people understand that not every conversation belongs everywhere.
You retain ownership of original content that you create and post, subject to any rights you may already have granted to others.
By submitting content to Milly’s Café, you give Milly’s Café the limited permission necessary to store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate the website and community.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to post the content you submit.
Do not upload or publish material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal rights.
Milly’s Café may remove content that violates these Terms or that creates a safety, legal, or operational concern.
Milly’s Café may restrict or disable member-uploaded photographs, videos, or other media from time to time as part of the community’s safety and operational policies.
If media-upload functionality is enabled or expanded in the future, additional rules may apply.
Members remain responsible for ensuring that anything they upload is lawful and appropriate and does not expose another person to unnecessary privacy or safety risks.
Milly’s Café currently offers public and paid membership access.
Browsers are visitors or members with free access to designated public areas of the website.
Patrons are paying members who receive access to designated member-only areas, including member Groups and forums, subject to the rules and limitations of the membership purchased.
Membership does not give anyone ownership of Milly’s Café or its community.
Membership is a privilege that carries responsibilities.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate membership when necessary to protect the community or enforce these Terms.
Paid membership transactions are processed through the payment and membership systems used by Milly’s Café.
Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and account information.
Membership fees, renewal terms, cancellation procedures, and any applicable refund policy will be presented during the applicable membership transaction.
A payment does not grant immunity from these Terms.
A member whose conduct violates these Terms may lose access to the community even if that member has paid for membership.
Any applicable refund will be handled according to the refund policy in effect for the applicable membership purchase.
Milly’s Café is not a place for unsolicited advertising, spam, pyramid schemes, fraudulent investment opportunities, deceptive sales practices, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
You may not use member information obtained through Milly’s Café to build marketing lists or solicit members for unrelated commercial purposes without appropriate permission.
The administrators may approve legitimate community-related promotions or partnerships at their discretion.
If you believe another member is violating these Terms or creating a safety concern, please report the matter to the administrators.
When making a report, provide enough information for us to understand what happened.
Do not retaliate against someone for making a good-faith report.
Likewise, knowingly submitting false accusations for the purpose of harming another person may itself violate these Terms.
Reports will be handled as responsibly as possible.
Milly’s Café is not an emergency service.
If you believe someone is in immediate physical danger, contact the appropriate emergency services or qualified emergency resources in your location.
Milly’s Café administrators and moderators may take action when they believe it is necessary to protect members, enforce these Terms, or preserve the integrity of the community.
Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:
Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or removal without a warning.
Examples include credible threats, stalking, doxxing, serious harassment, sexual exploitation, fraud, or conduct that presents a significant safety risk.
We prefer peaceful resolution whenever possible.
But protecting people comes first.
We do not promise that every moderation decision will be perfect.
We do promise that community safety will be taken seriously.
Retaliation against another member, moderator, administrator, or reporter because of a complaint, safety report, moderation decision, or disagreement with community rules is prohibited.
Retaliation may include:
If you disagree with a decision, communicate respectfully with the administrators.
Do not turn disagreement into retaliation.
Milly’s Café contains educational, informational, personal-development, and community discussions.
Nothing on the website should automatically be treated as professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, employment, educational, or other professional advice.
Members are responsible for deciding when they need qualified professional assistance.
We encourage learning, research, critical thinking, and responsible use of credible sources.
Milly’s Café may discuss artificial intelligence, technology, education, communication, and related subjects.
AI can be a valuable tool for learning, creativity, research, organization, and personal development.
However, members remain responsible for how they use AI and for verifying important information before relying upon it.
AI should not be used to:
We encourage members to learn how to use technology intelligently rather than fear it or surrender their judgment to it.
Milly’s Café may use or connect with third-party services necessary for website operation, membership management, payment processing, security, communication, or other functionality.
External websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Milly’s Café is not responsible for the content, policies, security, availability, or conduct of unrelated third-party websites.
Members should exercise appropriate caution when following external links or communicating outside the community.
Members must not attempt to interfere with the security or operation of Milly’s Café.
You may not:
Security concerns should be reported to the administrators rather than exploited.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Do not share your password.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, notify the administrators and change your password as soon as reasonably possible.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You may stop using Milly’s Café at any time.
Milly’s Café may suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to:
Termination may be temporary or permanent.
Serious misconduct may result in permanent removal.
Creating another account to evade a suspension or permanent ban is prohibited.
Milly’s Café will continue to evolve.
These Terms may therefore be updated as the community grows, new features are introduced, laws change, or additional safety requirements become necessary.
When material changes are made, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate those changes.
Your continued use of Milly’s Café after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep Milly’s Café available and functioning, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:
We appreciate your patience when this happens.
Milly’s Café provides a place for people to communicate.
We cannot guarantee that every person will behave honestly, respectfully, or responsibly.
Members are responsible for using reasonable judgment when communicating with people online.
Do not assume that someone is trustworthy simply because they are a member.
Do not send money to another member merely because you have met them through Milly’s Café.
Do not provide sensitive personal information simply because someone asks for it.
Community membership is not an endorsement, background check, employment relationship, friendship guarantee, or guarantee of personal character.
Milly’s Café exists for people—not the other way around.
We reserve the right to take reasonable action when conduct threatens the safety, dignity, privacy, or basic functioning of the community.
We may remove content or restrict access even when a particular situation does not fit neatly into a single sentence of these Terms.
Rules cannot anticipate every possible form of harmful behavior.
The underlying principle is simple:
If you deliberately use this community to harm other people, you should not expect the community to continue giving you access to it.
The following provisions are intended to establish the legal framework governing use of Milly’s Café, subject to applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
Failure to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision later.
These Terms, together with the Milly’s Café Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of the community, subject to applicable law.

We are asking you to be responsible for the way you treat other people.
You will make mistakes here.
So will we.
Learning how to recognize those mistakes, apologize when necessary, repair what can be repaired, and become better afterward is part of what Milly’s Café is about.
But there is a difference between making a mistake and deliberately hurting someone.
We will make room for learning.
We will not make room for cruelty.
You do not have to arrive here finished.
You do not have to know everything.
You do not have to be brilliant, popular, confident, successful, or completely certain about who you are.
You are allowed to learn.
You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to change your mind.
You are allowed to make mistakes.
You are allowed to grow.
But you are responsible for how you treat the people around you.
Respect matters.
Courtesy matters.
Boundaries matter.
Honesty matters.
Character matters.
And when we get those things wrong, we should have the courage to acknowledge it and try again.
That is the kind of community we are trying to build.
Not a perfect community.
A responsible one.
A compassionate one.
A place where people can become stronger without having to make someone else weaker.
A place where disagreement does not require hatred.
A place where friendship does not require pretending.
A place where learning includes learning how to live with other people.
And above all:
A place where we protect one another from cruelty rather than becoming another place where cruelty is allowed to flourish.
Welcome to Milly’s Café.
We’re glad you’re here.
Milly…

Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Milly’s Café is an online community built primarily for young adults ages 18 through 35 who want to learn, communicate, develop personally, make meaningful connections, and become better members of their communities.
People older than 35 are welcome at Milly’s Café as well. Age does not give anyone permission to disregard our standards. Every person who participates must follow our Terms of Service and community standards.
Because our community includes social interaction, profiles, groups, forums, comments, and private messaging, we take privacy, personal information, and member safety seriously.
We are a community — not a data-mining operation.
We do not sell our members’ personal information to advertisers, retailers, data brokers, or other companies.
Milly’s Café operates at:
In this Privacy Policy, “Milly’s Café,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operators of Milly’s Café.
Our purpose is to provide a respectful environment for young adults and other participating adults to communicate, learn, exchange ideas, and develop personally.
We collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate the website, maintain accounts and memberships, provide community functionality, process memberships, protect the website, communicate with members, and enforce our rules.
We do not collect personal information simply because it might be useful to someone else.
Milly’s Café is primarily designed for young adults ages 18 through 35.
Milly’s Café is not designed as a children’s community.
Individuals under 18 are not permitted to independently establish or operate a Milly’s Café account or participate in the community.
If we discover that an individual has created an account while under the required age, or has deliberately misrepresented their age to gain access, we may suspend or permanently terminate that account.
Do not lie about your age to obtain access to Milly’s Café.
Our registration system may require members to confirm that they meet the minimum age requirement.
Milly’s Café does not currently represent that it has a specialized government-ID or biometric age-verification system. An age declaration is therefore an account eligibility requirement, not a guarantee that a person’s stated age is independently verified.
Where a situation involving a minor comes to our attention, we may take whatever action we believe is reasonably necessary to protect the individual and the community.
Depending on how you use Milly’s Café, we may collect information such as:
name;
username;
email address;
password-related account information;
profile information you choose to provide;
membership information;
membership level and account status;
comments, posts, replies, and other content you voluntarily submit;
private messages sent through the site’s messaging system;
information supplied when contacting us;
IP address and basic technical information;
login and security information;
information necessary to process or administer your membership;
information necessary to investigate abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
You control much of the information you choose to put into your profile or community activity.
You should therefore think carefully before posting anything personal.
Milly’s Café uses BuddyBoss to provide community functionality.
Depending on the features enabled on the website, BuddyBoss may process information associated with your:
member profile;
account;
profile fields;
group participation;
activity posts;
comments and replies;
forum participation;
member connections;
private messages;
community interactions;
and other activity you voluntarily create through the platform.
Not every BuddyBoss feature is necessarily enabled or available to every member.
We configure the platform according to the needs of Milly’s Café and may change, restrict, or disable features as the community develops.
Milly’s Café currently provides private member-to-member messaging.
Private messaging is intended for legitimate community communication. It is not a guarantee of absolute confidentiality.
Members must never use private messaging to:
harass another person;
threaten someone;
solicit inappropriate personal information;
manipulate or exploit another member;
engage in sexual solicitation;
stalk or intimidate another member;
arrange harmful activity;
circumvent community rules;
or attempt to move another member into an unsafe situation.
Milly’s Café administrators may take appropriate action when private messaging is reported, appears to violate our Terms of Service, presents a safety concern, or requires investigation.
Do not send information through private messages that you would not want potentially reviewed as part of a legitimate safety, abuse, or rule-enforcement investigation.
At the present time, member photo/media uploading is restricted or disabled.
This is an intentional administrative and financial decision while Milly’s Café is establishing itself.
If this functionality is enabled in the future, this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service may be updated to reflect the change.
Members should never upload another person’s photograph, personal information, or other material without appropriate permission.
Anything you voluntarily post to a profile, group, forum, comment area, or other community feature may be accessible to other members according to the visibility settings of that feature.
Do not post information that could put you or another person at risk.
This includes, among other things:
home addresses;
personal telephone numbers;
passwords;
financial information;
government identification numbers;
private family information;
precise location information;
school or workplace information when it creates a safety concern;
or another person’s private information.
Once information is shared online, you should never assume that it can be completely prevented from being copied or preserved by another person.
Milly’s Café uses WishList Member to administer memberships and control access to membership features.
WishList Member may process information associated with:
registration;
username;
name;
email address;
membership level;
membership status;
account information;
registration fields;
membership-related administrative information;
and other information we specifically request through membership forms.
We will not intentionally request unnecessary personal information simply because the membership system allows us to do so.
Paid memberships may be processed through Stripe in connection with WishList Member.
Milly’s Café does not need to receive or store your complete credit-card number merely to administer your membership.
Payment information is processed through the applicable payment-processing system, and Stripe may collect and process payment and transaction information according to its own privacy practices and terms.
Milly’s Café may receive information necessary to administer your membership and determine whether a transaction or membership payment has been successfully completed.
We do not sell payment information to advertisers or retailers.
WordPress/Gravatar functionality is enabled on Milly’s Café.
If you use an email address associated with a Gravatar account, WordPress may use information associated with that email address to determine whether a Gravatar image is available.
Gravatar is operated by Automattic.
Because Gravatar is an external service, its own privacy policy applies to information it processes.
If you do not want your Gravatar associated with your Milly’s Café activity, you should consider using an email address that is not associated with a Gravatar account or otherwise adjust your Gravatar settings.
Milly’s Café uses cookies and similar technologies where necessary for the website and its membership/community functions to operate.
Cookies may be used to:
maintain login sessions;
remember account settings;
support membership functionality;
maintain security;
prevent abuse;
and allow WordPress, BuddyBoss, WishList Member, and related website functionality to operate correctly.
Some cookies are temporary and disappear when a browser session ends. Others may remain for a longer period according to the functionality that created them.
Milly’s Café does not currently use Google Analytics or another general-purpose analytics platform to build behavioral profiles of its visitors or members.
We are intentionally keeping the website simpler.
If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated to explain the relevant technology and its purpose.
Milly’s Café may discuss, recommend, or refer members to videos and other material hosted on external websites.
We generally do not need to embed or directly integrate those services into the community merely to discuss them.
When you leave Milly’s Café and visit another website, that website operates under its own privacy policy and terms.
We do not control the privacy practices of external websites.
If you choose to visit an external video, website, social-media platform, or other service, you are responsible for reviewing that service’s privacy practices.
Milly’s Café uses security tools and administrative safeguards to help protect the website and its members.
Our security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, login attempts, browser information, and other information reasonably necessary to identify suspicious activity, attacks, spam, unauthorized access, or other security problems.
Security information may be retained when reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent abuse.
Security information is not collected for advertising purposes.
We may use information to:
operate your account;
administer memberships;
provide community features;
communicate with you;
respond to questions;
process memberships;
maintain website security;
investigate abuse;
enforce our Terms of Service;
protect members;
prevent fraud or unauthorized access;
maintain and improve the website;
and comply with applicable law.
We do not use member information to create advertising profiles for retailers or advertisers.
We may provide information to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate Milly’s Café.
These may include providers involved with:
hosting;
website security;
membership administration;
payment processing;
email delivery;
spam/security prevention;
and other essential website services.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to:
protect a member;
investigate suspected abuse;
protect the website;
investigate fraud;
enforce our Terms;
or respond to a lawful request.
We do not sell or rent member information to advertisers or data brokers.
Milly’s Café has a particularly strict position regarding personal information.
You may not use information obtained through this community to:
stalk someone;
harass someone;
threaten someone;
expose someone’s identity;
publish private information;
impersonate another member;
manipulate another member;
locate someone offline;
encourage others to target someone;
or otherwise cause harm.
Violations may result in immediate account restriction or termination.
Depending upon the circumstances, information may also be preserved or disclosed when required by law or necessary to address a serious safety issue.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the community, administer memberships, maintain security, enforce our rules, resolve disputes, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain necessary business records.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it.
Some information may remain in backups or administrative records for a reasonable period before being permanently removed.
Depending upon where you live and the laws applicable to you, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the right to:
request access to information we maintain about you;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of information where legally applicable;
ask questions about how information is used;
or exercise other rights provided by applicable law.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you choose to leave Milly’s Café, you may request that your account be closed, subject to our administrative, legal, security, and record-retention obligations.
Closing an account does not necessarily mean that every record associated with that account disappears immediately.
For example, information may need to be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial records, dispute resolution, or investigation of serious violations.
Milly’s Café may update this Privacy Policy when our technology, services, community structure, or legal obligations change.
Significant changes may be announced through the website or another appropriate communication method.
The effective date at the beginning of this policy indicates when the current version took effect.

Milly’s Café was not created to turn people into products.
We believe people should be able to participate in an online community without having their personal lives turned into advertising profiles.
We also believe that privacy and personal responsibility go together.
We will protect information entrusted to us as reasonably as we can.
At the same time, members must protect themselves by thinking carefully about what they publish, who they communicate with, and what information they choose to share.
Privacy is respect.
Security is responsibility.
And community membership is a privilege — not a license to harm another person.
